QBE Insurance Group has been providing insurance services to Australia and other global presences for over a century. With over 50 offices in Australia alone, QBE employs more than 13,000 people around the globe. Named General Insurer of the Year by the NIBA for eight years in a row, they reported a net profit of $1,859 million in 2008. The total dividend paid per share in 2008 was 126.0 cents, or $1,187 million in total, a 3% increase over the previous year’s payout.
